Based in northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. (formerly, North and South Dakota), I am a documentary photographer committed to the craft as a means of preserving history; capturing the moments of a notable event, expressing one’s appearance in a portrait, and memorializing the light and angles of landscapes and architecture.
Above all else, I feel that photography should be a truthful representation of the world beyond the lens, and that ethos drives my work across a wide expanse of photographic genres. Throughout more than a decade of experience, I have come to fully understand the important role photographers assume when pixels become stories.
